Beating up the mobs or smashing the terrain dropped blocks that you could use to buy blueprints just like the other Lego games.

You could use a spray gun to recolor blocks but it's wasn't precise. Meaning, you don't actually get to build the Tavern, you just pick it from a list and plop it down.

You could discover and unlock blueprints of say, an Old West Tavern, and then select that blueprint and plop it down wholesale on the ground. You couldn't die, had nothing to craft, and just wandered around climbing the terrain and using your fists to beat up the mobs. It was not very densely populated with structures or mobs. I haven't loaded it up in a few months but the last time I saw it, it was basically like wandering around a Minecraft world in Creative mode.
